Thanks, Gala. Yeah, I seem to hear a lot of birthing stories where women go through labor without clothes to hinder, and it makes a lot of sense, since it’s about you and someone else so there’s less self-consciousness.

I did not expect to feel this lightness. A total weight lifted. In the morning I opened all my windows and let the fresh Indiana air in. I did not expect this.

And I’m also surprised at another feeling I haven’t felt in awhile, sadly. I want to work to make this a better country. I want to do my part instead of running away.

It’s sort of how I felt when I received Grace for the first time.
